Diagnostics of a condition of tires and their protectors

Regular check of a condition of tires can help to avoid the troubles caused by the unforeseen stop in way connected with descent of a wheel. Besides, the condition of tires can give valuable information on the possible problems connected with malfunctions of components of a suspension bracket and steering long before there is a breakage.

Fabrichno the tires installed on cars of this brand are equipped semi-inch (about 13 mm) with control tapes of wear which become visible at a protector wipe up to the depth of 1.6 mm. Degree of wear of a protector can be also defined by means of the simple and inexpensive adaptation known under the name of the indicator of wear of a protector - ask in shops of automobile accessories.

Pay attention to any abnormal wear of protectors. Existence of irregular defects of a protector, such as cavities, etc. tells the flattened sites, stronger wear from one of the parties about violation of balancing or adjustment of angles of installation of forward wheels. At detection of such characteristic defects of a protector drive away the car in a tire workshop for correction of violations.

Attentively look narrowly at existence on tires of cuts, the punctures which got stuck in a pattern of a protector of nails and small stones. In certain cases the wheel after a puncture continues to keep pressure thanks to the fact that the nail which got stuck in the tire stops up with own body an opening. If the wheel begins to lower regularly slowly, first of all check a state and serviceability of the gate of a rating (nipple). Further examine a protector on existence in it got stuck in a puncture nailing or other foreign subject, and also the failed repair traffic jams (radial tires often are under repair by installation in openings of special repair traffic jams). If there is a suspicion on a wheel puncture, it can be checked easily by means of solution of soap water - after wetting of a surface of the tire soap solution on the site of a puncture soap bubbles will begin to arise. If defect is not too extensive, the wheel can be usually repaired in a tire workshop.

Attentively examine internal walls of each tire on existence of traces of brake fluid on them. At detection of those immediately check a condition of brake lines and mechanisms.

The rating of tires with the correct pressure allows to prolong significantly the term of their service, and also to considerably increase comfort during the movement. Correctness of pressure of a rating of wheels cannot be authentically defined by eye, in particular so far as concerns radial tires. Here the special manometer is necessary. Try to keep constantly such in a ware box of the car. It is not necessary to trust indications of the manometers installed on nozzles of hoses of pumping of wheels at gas stations.

Always check pressure in tires at cold wheels. It means what after the last use of the car (with a length of run more than 1,5 km) has to pass not less than three hours. Increase in pressure in hot tires upon 0.27 - 0.5 atm. is the normal phenomenon.

Remove a protective cap from the gate of a rating acting from a disk/nave and densely press to it a manometer nozzle. Consider instrument reading and compare result of measurements to the data appearing on Schild, the driver's door fixed on a rack. Do not forget to screw on the gate a protective cap in order to avoid hit in the nipple of dirt and moisture. Check pressure in all four wheels, in case of need make adjustment.
